- 1. first of all download SUBTITLE WORKSHOP from one of the following links.it is just like jubler but better bcoz of its size (1.2 MB) and u dont have to install it after downloading.just open the folder and click on subtitleworkshop.exe file.it will open the software http://www.urusoft.net/downloads.php?lang=1 http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Subtitle-Workshop-Download-5315.html 2. now open the video u want to put subtitles (VIDEO > OPEN).it will show the video preview.now click FILE > NEW SUBTITLES.now u can write ur own subtitles to a space underneath the video.to add 2nd subtitle click on the round blue icon (4th from the last).to add 3rd ,do the same thing and so on.u can synchronize the timing of subtitles from the time bar just above where u write subtitles and can see ur subtitles on the screen. 3. after adding all subtitles, go to FILE > SAVE AS and save the subtitles file as SUBRIB (srt).ok now u have ur subtitles in a file. 4.now open Avidemux (avidemux2_gtk.exe). and open the video. 5.go to VIDEO > FILTERS and click on SUBTITLES > SUBTITLER and then press the blue + sign. browse the subtitles and change the encoding to LATIN-1.then close it. 6.also change the video to SIDE where there will be written INPUT (to preview ur subtitles before saving ,as an option). 7.change the video format to MPEG-4 ASP and audio to MP3 7.now save ur project on pc and u can see ur subtitles now. for any problem..feel free to let me know. G' LUCK
