Get Subtitles

I have a DVD that is foreign, and want to play subtitles I download in .srt/.sub format with it.?

Own the dvd, has no english subtitles. I downloaded subtitles off the internet, how do I play them together? Do I need a program or what?

1. Try VLC player. http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Then click File => Open file. You may need to look for the movie itself in the DVD (its usually the largest file in the disc). Choose your video, and then check the "Use Subtitles" box. Then pick your .srt file in the second box.
