How to add movie subtitles to a downloaded movie torrent?

For informational purposes. How would one go about adding a separate subtitle file to say a xvid movie torrent? Well say i have the Xvid torrent and the subtitles i could one burn both files so that the subtitles will show up in the movie. What if i decide to burn the movie? am i screwed.

  1. Unless you download it with subtitles. I don't think you can add them, unless you have a special program.
  2. you will have to go to website such as the-moviebuff.blogspot.com/.../getting-subtitles-for-your-torrent.html there you will get the movie subtitles
  3. Search for the .srt file - this is the subtitle files.. Be sure that this file is in the same folder as the folder of your downloaded movie.
  4. Go to opensubtitles.org, subscene.com, or allsubs.org Download the subtitles, open the folder with the subtitles and then just drag it into your media player (I suggest using VLC or GOM). If you put the sub file (usually .srt, sometimes .txt) into the same folder as the video (.avi, .wmv, etc.) then some programs will automatically load the subtitles. You may need to turn them on, however, which you can easily do (in all the programs I've used) by right clicking and going to subtitles.
