Get Subtitles

is downloading a created subtitle illegal?

i bought a dvd from thailand. it has no english subtitles but i bought it anyway because it is low-priced. i look for a subtitle in the net. i saw one from subscene.com... i asked the uploader if it was created not a ripped from another dvd. he said it was created. my problem is there is a version of this movie dvd which has english subtitles. will i commit a sin if i download the created subtitle?
