how do i put spanish subtitles on my directv reciever?

i have the black, hd dvr reciever, and i want to put spanish subtitles on it

1. You can put spanish closed captions only if they are transmitted by a station. First check SAP, if there is audio in Spanish. If it is a spanish program, simply enabling closed captions should work.
2. im not sure which button but it is one of the four colored buttons, while the show is on press one of them and the sub menu for audio options will pop up, make tour sap selection from there ( when available )
