Chinese Subtitles?

Hi, I am currently using Windows XP. I am trying to get a chinese sub.srt file to work with the movie. However, when I play the movie the the subtitle display some weird symbols that is definitely not chinese. what can i do? my goal here is to permanently attach the sub onto the movie and then upload it onto my Cowon D2.

1. You can open the .srt file using Microsoft Word. If the text that you get there isn't Chinese, then it's the subtitles problem. If you're trying to permanently attach the subtitles on, you're going to have to encode the video. There's different software you can use, but I recommend VirtualDub 1.5.4. Encoding always takes a while though, so be patient. ^^
