Get Subtitles

SKY subtitles, why does it have the option to have them in different languages when its only ever English?

If you go onto "Services, System Setup, Language and Subtitles, Favourite Language", you can choose from numerous different languages. I particularly want German, so why when i choose this the subtitles are still purely in English? Why have this option if it doesnt work?

1. i know it never works try going on a german channel i dont think dere is lol go to any other channel that does not do english find out wht language it is then do that subtitle it may work or not
2. Because it has the ability to choose, if the broadcaster had them available. If the broadcaster does not send them... then you cannot choose them. Same as if none are available. try channel 785 or 510, where the chinese channels dont have any. find a german channel, and it MIGHT have german subtitles.. but actually low probablility, like a lot of the extra english channels.
