Get Subtitles

How can i get an AVI movie to play the subtitles?

Subtitles are in a separate folder as the movie, how can i watch the movie w/ the subtitles? Thank you in advance

1. If it's an .srt file, you need to get VLC media player. After you have downloaded VLC media player click file and Advanced Open File. Then add the movie file, and under that it should say "add Subtitles" and then you add the .srt file.
2. Download VLC media player or simlar. Then load the subtitles on the program. On VLC you do that by pressing Video menu and then subtitles and then load subtitles. Link to VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc
3. extract to folder using kidpix then download vlc player then restart your modem with WMP 13
4. I use VLC media player which is a open-source program (free to everyone) and much more reliable than Windows Media Player. Download the install VLC here is the link to there site: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ Then what I do is with both files in the same folder ( *.avi and the file with the subtitles) while holding down the Ctrl-Key I click on the subtitle file first and then the avi file, now with both files selected I right click and go to Play with VLC and the movie starts and the subtitles play.
