Get Subtitles

What is a good program to convert video file to dvd and won't cut off subtitles from screen?

I use convertxtodvd but when burning anime movies the subtitles get cut off on the sides of the screen. Ive tried converting in widescreen aspect but still no luck. Is there a program out there where i can convert movie files and edit the subtititles to fit screen. ConvertXtodvd subtitle edit doesnt seem to work.

  3. Try to use Cucusoft Ultimate DVD Video Converter, which is a perfect solution for convert among all of video files including DVD, AVI, ASF, WMV, DivX, Xvid etc. Free download it here: http://www.diyslideshow.com/cucusoft/ultimate-video-converter.html
  4. I use Handbrake, and this is what I do: 1. I first check in a DVD player how the subtitles are displayed, ie. are they on the black strip beneath the video or do they overlap the video? 2. Then, in the "Video" tab, you'll see "Picture Settings". Click here and then set the Margins to "Custom". Make the lower margin 0 (zero). Make sure "Maintain aspect ratio" above it is checked so that you don't stretch or squash your video. I'm sure you can change this setting in the DVD converter you use. Just customize the margins. Sometimes you don't have to set it to zero, if the subtitles are on the video (one line) and on the black part (another line). There are hardly ever more than two lines of subtitles.

  6. You can go to http://convertersoft.com to download a converter. I personally use ultimate DVD + Video converter suite. It works very well
  7. Is the video you're putting on dvd widescreen? If it is and your tv isn't widescreen then you will automatically lose part of the video on both sides. If that's the case then there's only two solutions for you. One is to watch it on a widescreen tv, that way you won't lose part of the video on the sides. Or two is to convert your dvd in the aspect ratio 4:3, not 16:9. But if your original video is widescreen and you convert it in 4:3 the image will look distorted (everything will look squashed). But if you want to do that then just open your video file in ConvertXtoDVD and go in the video section. Then change 16:9 to 4:3. Hope this helps.
