How do I get subtitles to play in vlc media player?

I have a movie(Kill Bill) that is mostly in english, but there are several scenes in Japanese. How do get subtitles to work?

1. video>subtitles track>load file
2. Hi First you have to download the subtitles for the movie. Then start the movie. On the menu bar click on Video >> Subtitle Trac>> Add file >> & select the file you have downloaded and click ok. Done
