Why are Arabic Subtitles messed up?

Why when i download Subtitles for movies in arabic, when i open the .srt file it looks like this: ãä ÈÇÐ áÇíÊíÑ Çáì ÞÓã ÇáÚãáíÇÊ, instead of arabic? I have arabic language support installed, but it is the same thing.
