How do I put the subtitles in the movie on my pc?

I know you have to download the appropriate subtitles but Im a rookie at this and I don't know the process and Im feeling quite dumb because of it.Please help-I need step by step explanation.It says MPEG layer- 3.Mean any thing to you?

  2. U could always use Windows Movie Maker? Then save the file into movie format then countiune with your editing on a better movie software?

Here's step-by-step guide to insert the subs on a movie file, which requires VirtualDub (safe and free to download, don't worry). http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/adding_subs_to_avi.cfm As for finding the subs themselves, a simple google search will provide that.   5. MPEG Layer-3 is simply mp3..;) And if it's English subtitles that U need, U just simply can google the name of a movie and word "subtitles".. Then download the propriate subtitles (e.g if U have a 2 CD version of a film and U download the subtitles of a 1 CD movie it's obvious that the subtitles won't work) and then you can download the free version of BS Player (google that also of course)..
