(my dvd is in foreign language) i need to be able to have ENGLISH subtitles,for my american friends to be able to watch my foreign movies with me.

How to burn a DVD movie with korean subtitles? ? When I play it on the DVD player, it can't read the subtitles right. It displays some weird fonts and characters that are not korean (or any other language for that matter.) it displays something like this: *%&%^%(^%&*YFU&^&*^(&). but when i look at my dowloaded srt and smi, the subtitles are correct, it's just when i burn it with the movie and play it on the DVD that it turns out wrong. Why do my DVD players automatically turn on subtitles? I've noticed with the last three DVD players that I've bought, after a year or so, when I put a movie in, the subtitles are turned on. The players never did that when I first bought them... why do they do it all of a suddden like that? Is there some trick or service button I can use to stop that from happening? The two that it did it on were both Apex brand, and a portable DVD player was Polaroid... they all did it. I can turn it off, but my problem is that I don't want it to turn on at all.
