Divx Subtitles? Ive obtain a movie with an foreign language and wish to use subtitles The movie is a Xvid format and i want to know how to put subtitles into the movie. The movie does come with a seperate file holding the english subtitle data.
How to show characters correctly in portuguese/ polish divx subtitles? My wife and I watch some divx movies on her laptop using kmplayer. Her laptop is running Windows XP in Polish. Sometimes we use dual subtitles (portuguese and polish) but some of the portuguese characters don't show correctly, polish characters show fine. Although I can understand which character it is it's a bit annoying. What can I do to solve this problem? We use third files for subtitles, they're not "in" the movie.

I've tried Premiere but for some reason everytime I import the divx file it crashes with some error and closes and I can't do anything with it. Maybe it's because it's a divx file? How To Remove Subtitles From DivX? I have some video files on my computer that are .mkv When I go to watch them with DivX, subtitles that don't match the show appear at the bottom. I downloaded a different media player on my desktop that plays them perfectly w/out the subtitles. I didn't even have to make changes. Extremely irritating problem with subtitles for divX, please help!!!? I have a few divX movies for whom i downloaded subtitle files. my problem is that though the subtitles run with the movies, the timing is a bit off. for some movies, the subtitles appear a few seconds earlier, while for others, they appear a few seconds later. i cant correct this. im totally stumped. please help!

How do I modify the appearance of DivX Subtitle Displayer? I use DivX Subtitle Displayer (http://www.cooolsoft.com/dsd.htm) to watch unsubtitled Foreign films, particularly Japanese & Korean cinema. DivX Subtitle Displayer is very useful however I do have a gripe with the graphical interface, it is just painfully ugly! Is there anyway to use it with the standard Windows XP window display, like Windows Explorer instead of the horrible rounded orange incarnation it uses now?

DivX player won't play subtitles in *.avi format...why? Hello! I downloaded movie in *.avi format and I have downloaded subtitles in *.srt format and putted those two (Borat.avi and Borat.srt) in one map! How do i get my computer to read Hebrew subtitles? I have a divx movie and I downloaded the subtitles for it in Hebrew but those weird characters show up instead of the Hebrew words. Can anyone suggest a free and easy-to-use Program to hardcode .srt subtitles into a DivX (.avi) movie? As above, furthermore it should preferably include tutorials or be intuitive enough for me to figure out - i'm not a complete novice but i'm not a genius with computers either. Resulting movie MUST be compatible with either the Red Kawa (Videora) or Jodix iPod Video Convertors. Avirecomp is a real doozy of a program - simple, effective and above all FREE! Just google it and find the site. If you need help theres a forum somewhere that has a thread about it (that's where i found out about it). Hopefully this'll give some help to anybody else who was looking for guidance from this question ;-) Oh, and the resulting file IS compatible with the Red Kawa (Videora) iPod Video Convertor, i tried that out this morning and i'm watching it on my iPod right now :p I'm not sure about the Jodix one, but i figure it should work fine too ^^
